Democratic Space and Governance – Childrens Mission Africa

The key components of democratic governance and human rights here includes the protection of all human rights and fundamental freedoms; democratic principles, rule of law and equitability; tackling corruption and the accountable management of public funds; or the protection of human rights in situations of conflict or violence.

Democratic space and governance in turn is critical in fostering economic growth and has been used as a barometer to assess ability of a country to effectively manage public resources. Increasingly therefore, international investors use a country’s state of democracy and governance in assessing the impact of political risk on their investment. Political elections and corruption continuously are at the forefront of this. Democracy brings about issue based; a result oriented and people centred developments.

The outcome for this will be to provide solutions that enrich, transform and empower the children with a lifelong impact, and in the process make a remarkable difference in their lives where they are driven by positive values and behaviours
